Students return - the same but different...

Students are back in the classrooms of Trafalgar Middle.  On this episode we hear from some of them about their transition back.  We also hear about a contest for Orange Shirt Day, whats going on in the Makerspace and we introduce the first installment of Thunderclaps!

When a class of Grade 6 students came to call the pre-holiday hike Operation Leave No One Behind, it was clear this would be no simple winter walk.

Chris Mieske’s class at Trafalgar Middle School includes Todd St. Pierre, who was born with bilateral perisylvian polymicrogyria, a genetic disorder that affects his mobility.

Trafalgar is pleased to annoucne the launch of the Thunder Muscle Website. 

The site was developed by Trafalgar Eduacation Assistant and Assistant Basketball coach Misha Chernoff to help students maintain their fitness and build their strength while not being physically in school.

Today Trafalgar celebrated Pi day with it's First Annual Pi reading contests.  

22 Students from all grades faced off in an irrational test of memoraization and reciting of the digits of pi. 

The contest was organized and led by Grade 8 teacher Mr. Geddis.  

The challenge was won by Teo Ried who reached 133 digits.

Grade 8 art students have been working on leaving Trafalgar more beautiful then they found it. Part of this project has resulted in additional signage around the school.
