Snowshoe Lollapalooza
What a day it was at Whitewater on December 6th with the Aboriginal Education entourage! Along with snowshoeing and sharing a hot lunch together, we also learned winter survival skills (creating fires with flint and tinder, and building snow shelters), and traditional Indigenous knowledge about the land we are on (and all the creatures who live here too)!
A huge THANK YOU! to Shanoon Bennett from Wild Voices who provided such rich learning, our fantastic parent volunteers (Thank you Paul & Kena!), our admin team Mr. Luck and Ms. Strachan here at Trafalgar who support us in all our adventures, and our amazing District Aboriginal Education Team who supported this big day in the snow in immeasurable ways.
