OLD GROWTH PROTEST

Grade 9 French Immersion students joined the Old Growth Protest on Tuesday, November 18, with Mme. Laframboise to hear from prominent environmental stewards, including Suzanne Simard and David Suzuki, about the importance of protecting our remaining old-growth forests. Students also had the opportunity to meet David Suzuki, receive his autograph, and take a photo with him.
Words students used to describe the experience included: “empowered,” “hopeful,” “inspired,” and “excited.”
